NEWFIELDS — Karl B. Hoyt Jr., 52, of Railroad Avenue, died Thursday, July 9, 2009, at his home.

He was born April 30, 1957, in Exeter, the son of Carl B. and Dorothy M. (Davey) Hoyt. He lived in Portsmouth for 10 years before moving to Newfields.

He was a 1975 graduate of Exeter High School and attended Hesser College and the University of New Hampshire.

He loved racing and was an avid Red Sox fan.

He is survived by his parents, Carl and Dorothy Hoyt of Newfields; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Brian and Lydia Hoyt of Exeter and Scott and Julie Hoyt of Newmarket; one sister, Kristen Boyle of Newfields; several nieces and nephews and his special dog, Keeve.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Mary Davey, and his paternal grandparents, Benjamin and Matilda Hoyt.

SERVICES: Memorial services will be held Wednesday, July 15, at 11 a.m. in the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter Street, Newmarket.
