KITTERY POINT, Maine - Scott Charles Borkowski, 49, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, April 29, 2006.

He was born Nov. 17, 1956 in York, Maine, the son of Joyce (Pray) Borkowski and the late Walter A. Borkowski. He spent his early childhood in Kittery Point. He moved with his family to Exeter in 1968 and graduated from Exeter Area High School in 1975, where he participated in drama productions and music programs.

After receiving a bachelor of science degree from Harvard University he became a successful and respected Realtor in Boston, where he resided until 2005 when he relocated to Kittery Point to be near his family.

He is survived by his mother; his sister, Kristen B. and her husband, Gary Long, of Kittery; his brother, Timothy W. Borkowski and wife, Gail, of York; nephews Ryan and William Long of Kittery, and Jesse Borkowski of York; niece Heather Borkowski of Friday Harbor, Washington; a close friend, Dr. David Palumbo; and aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends and associates.

 

WE REMEMBER: He will be greatly missed by his mother, his devoted sister Kristen, and brother Timothy. His intellect, astute mind, artistic talents, and kindness to others have touched many lives. He enjoyed his many travel experiences over the years. He will always brighten the memories of those who knew him well and loved him.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2006 in the First Congregational Church at Kittery Point, 23 Pepperell Road, Kittery Point, Maine. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his memory to the Scott C. Borkowski Art and Music Educational Grant Fund, Mitchell School, P.O. Box 176, Kittery Point, ME 03905. Arrangements are by the J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home of Kittery.
